What is a statement piece? 

A statement piece is an item that becomes the focus of your design and draws your guests' eyes when they walk into a room. The same thing can be said for an outfit. By pairing what could be basic jeans with a bright shirt helps you stand out and look already put together, the orange shirt on the left should have been the first thing you noticed on that side, the same is for the shirt with many colors. By having a statement piece you don't need to do much to elevate the outfit since the piece you chose already does that.
